Used in both office-based and equine-assisted counselling
With a trauma-informed lens, individuals can safely process and make sense of their trauma. This is done in a gentle and supportive way that involves drawing, cognitive restructuring, and grounding strategies.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
This is an evidence-based practice that seeks to help people identify negative thoughts and reframe them into positive thoughts. It is often integrated into trauma counselling but also stands alone, particularly to help with anxiety, depression, and self esteem.
Whether through meditation, artwork, or working with the horses, mindfulness is incorporated throughout my practice. Mindfulness helps people experience peace and become more attuned to their emotional needs.
